More Detailed Background

After graduating with a BSc in Psychology from Exeter University, I started my career in advertising for Lintas London, working on global accounts for Unilever and Nestle Rowntree.  During this time I also attained a Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Having then completed an MSc in Occupational Psychology I moved into internal change, communication and branding. I worked in London for Nicholson McBride and Banner McBride on internal brand and change projects, for clients such as Invesco and Powergen before moving to South Africa.

Here I firstly worked for a global strategic marketing agency, Added Value and then on a freelance basis.  My main focus was on internal branding and communication projects for clients such as South African Breweries, Unilever and VW. I also worked on strategic marketing projects for clients such as Shell. I was also involved in Brand SA, the branding of South Africa and the subsequent engagement of the people of South Africa. During this time I trained in coaching with the South African Council for Professional Mentors and Coaches.

Since returning from South Africa in 2004 I have completed projects for clients in the UK such as Which?, My Family Care and the University of Leicester, and in Russia for MTS, the country’s leading mobile phone company. I have conducted a number of projects for the University of Oxford and am also a tutor on the University's Certificate in Management which is accredited by the Chartered Management Institute. I have also completed an Advanced Diploma in Performance Coaching (NCFE) and am a member of the International Coach Federation.

I am also the consulting psychologist to Folio Recruitment, a niche publishing recruitment agency, and this includes conducting ability and psychometric personality tests.
